VQ’s Monthly News
July 2026
A milestone month for mission-critical collaboration
July was a landmark month for VQ Communications as we announced a new partnership with the U.S. Army – an exceptional moment for our team that we’re incredibly proud of.
In this month’s newsletter, we also share the details for the latest release of VQ Conference Manager, two new public sector customer stories and our latest thinking on secure crisis coordination. We’ve also been connecting with Cisco’s public sector community and preparing for several major events later this year.
VQ Communications secures largest enterprise agreement in its 22-year history

We recently announced a milestone enterprise agreement supporting the U.S. Army with secure, centralized management of its Cisco collaboration infrastructure, delivered in partnership with World Wide Technology.
As organizations place greater emphasis on sovereignty and operational control, the agreement reflects growing demand for self-hosted collaboration platforms built for mission-critical environments.

VQ Conference Manager 4.9 is here
This month also saw the release of VQ Conference Manager 4.9!
We’ve published a series of resources exploring the new features and the thinking behind them, including:
- What’s new in VQ Conference Manager 4.9 – an overview of the latest enhancements and capabilities
- Designing UI for mission-critical conferencing – why UI in high-assurance environments is about far more than modern-looking interfaces
- Room occupancy and environmental analytics – new insights into how collaboration spaces are being used, helping organizations optimize meeting rooms and workplace environments
Two public sector stories. Two different challenges.
Restoring sovereign conferencing in under six hours
When a geopolitical event disrupted access to its cloud collaboration platform, a Middle East government agency needed a secure alternative without moving workloads beyond national borders.
Our team mobilized within an hour and helped launch a fully self-hosted conferencing service in under six hours. The agency now uses the sovereign platform as its primary service, with the cloud retained as backup.

Replacing Cisco TMS for the justice system
A large courts service needed a proven, self-hosted successor to Cisco TMS that could preserve critical functionality, support more than 700 Cisco collaboration devices and provide a stable foundation for future growth.
Now live on VQ Conference Manager, the service has enabled teams to transition seamlessly while gaining more efficient certificate management, streamlined device configuration and the scalability to expand over the next decade.

Crisis coordination has left the command centre. Has security kept pace?

Modern crisis response increasingly depends on distributed teams, agencies and partners making decisions together in real time. That creates a new question: are the platforms supporting those conversations designed for high-assurance environments?
Our latest blog explores why secure communications must be treated as a core part of crisis preparedness rather than an afterthought once an incident begins.
Upcoming events

The VQ Communications team joined Cisco’s UK Public Sector Summit this month, meeting customers and partners to discuss the future of secure, sovereign collaboration.
We’ll also be at Cisco GSX in Las Vegas. VQ Communications will be hosting private one-to-one meetings at Mandalay Bay during the event.
