“First of all, I’d like to wish everybody a safe and happy holiday season and new year.

The VQ year has been full on; it’s been our most successful ever, so a very big thank you to all our customers and a very warm welcome to all our new ones.

Your custom allows us to invest more in people, systems and spending more time face-to-face with customers. We invest everything back into the business, and the result of that is that we’ve added 25 people to the team over the last 18 months or so. This takes the overall team size towards 50. The bulk of the new faces are focused on product; we also added four new starters to both the sales and marketing teams, respectively.

What’s amazing is the impact all these new engineers and product experts have on the product through their skill and tenacity. There’s a whole raft of new goodness coming your way. You could argue that’s a strange thing to say, but when I see what is happening in the product on a daily basis, I think back to when there were four of us working on it and mentally ‘compare and contrast’. The difference is huge and its really exciting to see all of that ‘doing’ turning into a high-quality product.

We’ve added to the sales team; we get more time in front of customers and more time speaking with existing customers to check they’re OK and generally ensure things are going the way they need to.

The same is true with the marketing team; we have more people, and they can spend more time telling our story.

The big things this year have been DMA, the 4.x platform and getting that to a point where we can release it on a regular basis. Metro’s been introduced. We close ’23 releasing 4.3; personally, I love what we’ve done to Activity and the ‘focus’ views.

Kibana and the whole data story goes from strength to strength; Kibana on 4.3 is nothing short of awesome. Behind the scenes, HA is just about done and should start to appear early in the new year. A whole pile of ‘funk’ is lining up on Metro and positions us well to deliver a complete and integrated solution.

We’ll be doing a lot more events in 2024; we look forward to meeting you and getting some time to talk.”

The Christmas holiday season is approaching, and with it, we’re going to start seeing the VQ support and engineering team reducing in size as well earned annual leave is taken.

Over the Christmas and New Year period, we’ll have a smaller team covering support. We recommend that you do not make any changes or attempt any upgrades to your production services from 22nd December to 2nd January.

We will be responding to support tickets via email, but there might be cases where the response is delayed. Rest assured, we will follow up once the team is back at full strength on 2nd January.

If you have a system outage, please contact us here or you can call our “Out of Hours Support” line, where we will triage the problem and, if needed, will escalate the issue.

Headline features include new meeting management refinements to the Activity page.
