Cisco TMS end-of-life timeline
Cisco has announced the upcoming dates for Cisco TMS going end-of-sale and end-of-life over the next 18 months.
The last day to order TMS is May 2, 2025, and software maintenance will cease on May 2, 2026. Organisations using this solution have limited time, so they should begin migrating to the Cisco-recommended replacement for TMS – VQ DMA.
VQ DMA was developed in collaboration with Cisco to replicate and innovate on Cisco TMS’ suite of features. It enables users to manage and maintain the devices behind their organisation’s video conferencing.
This new video explains how the migration process from TMS to DMA works.

Mission-critical conferencing report
We’ve partnered with GovLoop, a US government social network, to discuss the importance and value of on-premise video conferencing for government agencies.
This joint report explores:
- An overview of secure, on-premise video conferencing
- The key challenges faced by government agencies
- Best practice for delivering mission-critical conferencing
In this snippet, VQ’s CEO Mike Horsley explains why the cloud isn’t an option for some agencies:
“There are a lot of places in federal government where the voice and video, everything that’s being discussed, is too sensitive to entrust to a cloud service that might, for example, go via a third-party country or be exposed to the wrong people.”
Inside VQ

Say hello to the newest members of the VQ Team
We’re rounding out 2024 with some exciting team growth. Over the last few weeks, we’ve added Isidro and Millie to our Sales and Customer Success teams.
They both recently shared their thoughts on getting started at VQ:
“At VQ, I will continue working with the Canadian customers I was supporting at Cisco while also looking after Spanish customers and other initiatives in the European market. I’ve only been with the VQ team for a few weeks now, but they’ve made me feel incredibly welcome and we’ve really hit the ground running.”– Isidro, Business Development Manager
“I’m so excited to be joining the VQ Team as Customer Success Manager. I’ll be working alongside Joel Price to ensure our customers have all the support they need to unlock the full value of VQ.
“I look forward to reaching out to many more of our existing customers in the coming weeks (some of you may have heard from me already) and onboarding those of you who are new to VQ in the coming months.” – Millie, Customer Success Manager
