VQ’s partnership with Cisco is a strong driving force behind many of the features for VQ Conference Manager. As a result, Cisco Live US serves as the largest platform to showcase VQ and our latest developments.

From 2nd – 6th June 2024, the VQ Team will be attending Cisco Live in Las Vegas, NV.

As part of the event, VQ’s Jon English will be hosting a session ‘Delivering mission-critical video conferencing services with VQ Conference Manager’ on Tuesday 4 June at 10.45am PDT

During the event, you’ll be able to find us on our stand in the Collaboration Village or you can also book some time with us in our Meeting Zone Suites.

We’re excited to meet with the wider Cisco community to demonstrate our upcoming releases for VQCM, including Metro, and our TMS-replacement, VQ DMA.

The VQ Team had a great time presenting at Cisco’s Modern Workspaces Partner Bootcamp sessions over the past few weeks across several countries.

This month, Oli from VQ’s engineering team tells us about his experience attending one of these device bootcamps in Sydney, Australia:

“What a privilege to represent VQ proctoring our DMA lab on our furthest excursion to date, Sunny Sydney. For me personally it was a complete 180 from my usual day to day. I’m used to writing VQ features in a small office at ‘Casa de Oli’, and it was almost an abstract feeling to see those features being battle tested, for real, by Cisco partners halfway across the world.

It was fantastic to see such great interest in DMA which sparked some interesting conversations, not just about DMA but the whole VQ suite and the exciting features we have in active development.

These conversations often lead to a few ‘schooners’ down the Green Moustache at end of play, and I’m not ashamed to say leaving me with a slightly sore head on one particular morning.

I must say a big thank you to the Cisco team involved in organizing this event. Not only did they do a great job of the bootcamp, but also helping this pale Brit survive and thrive in ‘a land down under’, arming me with a wealth of travel tips to make the most of after the event.

In summary, DMA is a big hit. We received some really positive feedback; most notably just “how simple and easy it is”. Those well versed with TMS know it is not an easy task to get right. So, this is a real testament to the whole team involved and I feel incredibly proud to be a part of it.

The VQ future is bright and may the VQ world tour continue.”

The VQ Team continues to grow, with new addition Richard who shared his experience so far:

“My time at VQ has been highly positive. Working remotely from Cornwall, I’ve appreciated the company’s effective support and the straightforward communication across the team.

“The autonomy I’ve experienced allows me to manage my projects efficiently while maintaining a good balance with my life here by the coast. It’s gratifying to contribute to our collective goals in an environment that values practicality and focused effort. I look forward to our continued progress and success.”
