VQ’s Monthly News
April 2026

As we head into a busy period for VQ Communications, we’re focusing on what’s new across our portfolio, from the latest VQ Conference Manager release to discovering how new capabilities are being used in practice.

This month we’re also taking a closer look at Advanced Conferencing Center (ACC) in action and exploring the future of secure video conferencing in our new Solutions Spotlight whitepaper.

With Cisco Live just around the corner, we’re also looking ahead to one of the key events in the industry calendar.

Here’s what’s new in April.

This month, we announced the launch of VQ Conference Manager 4.8, which brings an exciting new set of capabilities to self-hosted and air-gapped Cisco conferencing environments.

Key updates in 4.8 include:

  • Advanced Conferencing Centre (ACC) – Supporting complex and high-stakes meetings on Cisco Meeting Server
  • Extended unified conferencing  Simplifying hybrid CMS+ and cloud deployments
  • Enhanced high-visibility – Reducing failover time and operational impact
  • Support for multiple CMS clusters – Improving scalability and user experience
  • Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) mode – Enabling MTR on Cisco devices without Control Hub
  • Certificate management enhancements – Streamlining device certificate renewals
  • Device backup automation – Scalable backups for in-room configurations

Following its launch in 4.8, our Advanced Conferencing Center (ACC) is already helping organizations manage more complex conferencing environments with greater control and flexibility.

ACC is designed to support high-stakes and large-scale deployments, enabling:

  • Multi-room and multi-session workflows
  • Operator-led and managed meetings
  • Centralized control across large-scale, multi-CMS deployments
  • Increased resilience for mission-critical calls

Video conferencing is now critical to how organisations operate, but as reliance increases, so do the associated security risks.

In our latest Solutions Spotlight whitepaper, we explore:

  • The limitations of “secure” cloud-based conferencing
  • The challenges of traditional on-premise approaches
  • A more flexible, software-based model for self-hosted environments

The result is a smarter approach that gives organizations greater control, privacy and resilience without unnecessary complexity.
